Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Juno team joins Canadians across the country in acknowledging and reflecting on our shared commitment to truth and reconciliation, and on our company’s commitment to supporting and building strong, respectful connections with our Indigenous partners and communities.
As an Indigenous-owned and certified company intent on pursuing reconciliation in genuine and meaningful ways, we will be taking time this week to further build out our Indigenous Inclusion Plan.
In addition to our participation in the University of Calgary’s “Indigenous Pathways” program, our active involvement with the Métis Nation of Alberta, and our support for the First Nations Power Authority (FNPA), we will explore specific opportunities to engage in community projects that support Indigenous development, as well as creative and collaborative ways to discuss, both internally and externally, Indigenous values and culture. We look forward to sharing our progress as a way for us to stay accountable and active in our collective journey towards truth and reconciliation.
